The Jeld Wen w series is just an okay window, I'm not sure I would whole heartedly recommend that one. I would avoid any wood if I were you, it requires maintenance and will not be as energy efficient as a total vinyl window.
Does the HD carry the Andersen window? It's my favorite window at HD, although they tend to carry things on a regional basis. If you are going to buy from HD, ask the sales people what their best vinyl window is and go from there.
I would find an installer on my own if I were you -- search Angie's List or craigslist and find someone who specializes in window installation and has GOOD reviews. Have them or perhaps a couple of installers come out and give you a bid if you go out and buy the windows yourselves if you really are looking to save on the project.
Have the installers break the per window installation cost. Keep getting more bids and let's find you a price that makes sense for you. Homeowners looking for a replacement window would be advised to move up to the Siteline or Custom Wood windows from Jeld-Wen. While I'm not a huge fan of wood windows, I do think that the Auralast wood treatment used on the Siteline is an intriguing advancement.
